We have anti-corruption policies, a Whistleblower system and protection as well as transparent financial reporting.

Furthermore, we are member of SEDEX and audited under the SMETA 4 pillars: Business Ethics, Labour Standards, Health and Safety and the Environment. We are audited with randomly selected employees interviewed about their working conditions, the company’s approach to people management, environmental responsibility, quality, and safety. These interviews are conducted anonymously, providing valuable insights into how our employees experience the workplace culture at Lactosan.

SMETA is a leading ethical audit methodology - learn about it here.

Risk Management & Compliance (G1)

UN SDG #12

We have cybersecurity and data privacy policies. We comply with laws and regulations and have routines for internal controls and audits.

ESG Strategy & Accountability (G1)

UN SDG #12

We are in the process of integrating ESG into our corporate strategy with ESG linked executive incentives. An ESG controller has been employed to lead the process.

Integration of Internal and External Factors

We continuously review and update our materiality assessment to reflect:

  • Corporate vision, mission, and sustainability strategy
  • Long-term business goals and Code of Business Conduct
  • EU regulatory changes (CSRD, ESRS) and industry standards
  • Stakeholder expectations, including customers, investors, employees, and suppliers
