Our efforts ensure a positive social impact through a range of concrete initiatives.

A Positive Work Environment (S1) & Supporting The Local Community

UN SDG #3

We invest resources into employee well-being through open communication and professional development. Many of our employees have been with us for over 10 years, reflecting our commitment to a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees is a core priority. In 2024, we recorded zero fatal accidents. We continue to uphold the highest safety standards by monitoring compliance with all regulations and maintaining robust staff training programmes.

Lactosan is a SEDEX member and audited under the SMETA 4 pillars: Business Ethics, Labour Standards, Health and Safety and the Environment. We are audited with randomly selected employees interviewed about their working conditions, the company’s approach to people management, environmental responsibility, quality, and safety. These interviews are conducted anonymously, providing valuable insights into how our employees experience the workplace culture at Lactosan.

Supporting People on The Edge of Working Life

Lactosan is a Code of Care Ambassador.
At Lactosan A/S, we believe in making a meaningful impact beyond business. That is why we have partnered Code of Care, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping people with mental, physical, or social challenges find a place in Danish workplaces.

Through local Task Forces, businesses collaborate to create inclusive communities, proving that social responsibility goes hand in hand with business success. As an ambassador, we actively support initiatives that encourage companies to make a positive social impact.

Social Sponsorships
We have also extended our social obligations to support the Red Cross Youth organisation and the Foundation for Muscular Disease as part of our social responsibility. By partnering with these organisations, we help provide vital support to young people in crisis and individuals living with muscular diseases. Our commitment reflects our belief that businesses have a role to play in building a more inclusive and supportive society.

    • That no child or young person should ever feel left out
    • That all children and young people deserve to believe in themselves
    • That everyone should feel special in the eyes of others

Activities include homework cafés, summer camps, mentor projects, telephone hotlines, sport and health projects, support for children at asylum and women crisis centers, clubs, study support to prisoners, and international exchange and development programmes – among other things.

Through our contributions, we aim to create opportunities, raise awareness, and make a difference where it matters most—because a stronger community benefits us all.
